StarTribune Adds the ShoppeSimple Media Network

ShoppeSimple Presented to the Twin Cities by the StarTribuneNewspapers need new revenue sources, and the StarTribune in the Twin Cities is no exception.  That’s why the StarTribune boasts a robust shopping site, full of consumer information, news, offers and deals.

The latest StarTribune shopping option:  ShoppeSimple, presented by the StarTribune.  The news site is offering ShoppeSimple on many of its Shopping pages, including its Steals + Deals page, and featuring it in outbound emails to subscribers and consumers who sign up for updates and offers.

There’s great potential benefit for the StarTribune. First, the media company shares transactional revenue from sales made through its ShoppeSimple portal. More broadly, in our view, the ShoppeSimple experience is a great fit for a traditional newspaper.

“The ShoppeSimple experience is a lot like browsing the Sunday circulars,” says Chris Cortilet, chief media officer at ShoppeSimple. “You can browse and explore deals and offers by store or by category on ShoppeSimple.com, bookmark deal pages, or track offers in a reader or personal homepage. It’s a experience geared to surprise and delight the customer as they search for new deals and discoveries.”

ShoppeSimple, of course, is pleased to bring the StarTribune’s audience into the ShoppeSimple network – which benefits each of the more than 50 stores on our permission-based community shopping portal.  Support the StarTribune and ShoppeSimple at startribune.shoppesimple.com, or contact us.
